Why I Built It?
About four or five months ago as a gift a received a Raspberry Pi, I was appropriately great full but wished it was Lego! ) : I set it up played the Pi Craft or whatever that thing is called but got board in around fifteen minutes. Then it was set on the shelf and I went on my merry way. Then I thought of this so I could use both the Pi and the Mindstorms Brick together. So that's what I did.

How Does It Work?
The Raspberry Pi collects this infomation in the command line:

Welcome, What direction should the motor rotate?
(Left or Right)
>>>
Great, How many degrees
(90. 180, 270, 360):
>>>

Then it flashes the led in a pattern. The Mindstorms brick can receive this signal using the color sensor. Then in this example it uses that signal to rotate a motor the specified degrees.

When you click this link you will get all of the stuff you need to try it for yourself...
